Powerhouse Negotiator Leads Century 21’s Dallas Uptown Luxury Home Office
When the world’s largest residential real estate sales organization, Century 21, launched its Luxury Home division in Dallas’ prestigious Uptown community in 2009, it recruited Alicia Trevino to direct the new office. Among the nation’s leading real estate negotiators, Trevino is considered one of the industry’s “Top Guns.” Negotiating with major players such as HUD, Bank of America and Fannie Mae, she and her team have skillfully handled up to 700 transactions annually.
“Because we’ve seen it all, we are not easily daunted by seemingly impossible challenges,” says Trevino. “We’re also able to give frank advice based on our experience.”
Trevino cut her teeth in the industry 23 years ago, working for the commercial divisions of Trammel Crow, Prentiss Properties and Rosewood Corporation, and began honing her negotiating finesse. She previously served as assistant to the vice president of marketing for The Dallas Morning News, which is where she developed her
When she turned again to real estate, this time as a Realtor focusing on residential sales, Trevino joined Century 21 in 1989. In her first year, she was named the #1 agent in the state. After a move to Coldwell Banker, she immediately ranked among that company’s top 10 nationwide, a position she held for three consecutive years. In 2004 Trevino became an independent agent and by 2008 was placed among the Real Estate Top 200 by the National Association of Realtors.
Throughout her career, Trevino has demonstrated an uncanny ability to envision hidden possibilities and react rapidly to unforeseen changes. Her candid advice led a developer of a community of moderately priced homes in Rockwall-Heath to convert his plans to feature estates in the $1-2 million range. Trevino and her team set up an office there and sold every property within 12 months.
When the real estate market changed dramatically in 2008, Trevino adapted. Reorganizing her team and becoming an REO specialist agent, she negotiated transactions for the massive inventory held by the three Dallas-area HUD asset managers. As bank-held inventory dwindled, the prescient Trevino again reorganized the agents as short-sales specialists.
Sensing that the timing is right now for the luxury market, Trevino nimbly assembled a specialized team with the skills and experience to serve owners and buyers of high-end properties. Complementing Trevino’s flair for negotiating and marketing, the team includes creative webmasters, SEO experts, gifted photographers and talented stagers. “The efforts of my team and the international presence of Century 21 combine to give extraordinary properties exposure to discriminating homebuyers worldwide.”
